Cray If non sequiturs make no sense, then sequiturs must follow a logical plan. Fred Cray’s sequiturs photographs present both imagery and text in an ambiguous setting. These photographs seem familiar, an artistic déjà vu. Cray’s work always examines the effects of the intersection of time and place on the individual.  This has been a recurring theme of his, from his 2-Minute Portraits, through the Travel Diaries and Labyrinths series. sequiturs are concerned with transition in time and place: travel, reality into fantasy, dreams into wakefulness. Cray’s photographs capture the particular moment between the past and what is to come; they present  an almost mythological riddle. Because the photographs are somewhat unfocused, they also suggest the quality of a dream in which a dilemma is revealed. These dreamscapes are as beautiful as they are profound. Opening Reception: Wednesday, September 10, 6-8 pm

Cumming The exhibition takes its name from a vast cemetery in central Buenos Aires; much of it built in the late 19th and early 20th century. Begun in 1720, the Franciscan Monastery of the Barefoot Recletos Monks, "recoleta" means "recollection" in the spiritual, meditative sense. Today, the name and reality are poles apart as tourists mob the burial grounds which, unlike our grassy, park-like expanses, are a jumble of tiny architectural fantasies in tightly packed avenues, stacked with angelic marbles, saints and portrait bronzes of generals. Eva Peron is one of the most recent and most popular tenants.
